Why is product protection so important?

In an interview with Melliand Textilberichte magazine, Tobias Herzog, managing director of Tailorlux GmbH, tells how industrial marking processes help protect products and value chains. For example, covert security marking not only protects the manufacturer from unjustified recourse, but can also serve as proof of origin, especially in the textile industry.

Interview: Traceability in the textile sector

The Tailorlux solution can be used to mark both man-made fibers using a masterbatch or cotton fibers using a viscose fiber. This marking is inseparably linked to the textile and can be read at any point in the value chain. Counterfeiting is particularly attractive in product groups where the margin is high and the threshold for blending is low. These include recycled PET and organic cotton.
